Biography:

Prof. Yinhu Kang has been appointed as an associate professor of Chongqing University since 2017/09, and he is a team member in the Laboratory of Boiler Combustion and Environment Protection in our college. His research interests cover a broad range of areas in combustion, including the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler, novel technologies of energy saving and environment protection, solid fuel combustion theory and modeling, computational fluid dynamics with detailed chemistry, near-limit combustion physics, and experiments and modeling in turbulent combustion, etc.


Education Background:

Prof. Yinhu Kang received his B.S. (2009) in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering and Ph.D. (2015) in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Chongqing University. He also made a full-time postdoctoral research at University of Connecticut in the span from March 2017 to March 2018.


Research Interests:

(1) CFB combustion theory and technology, Power plant thermodynamics;

(2) Novel technologies for power plant energy saving and environment protection;

(3) Computational fluid dynamics;

(4) Combustion physics, combustion simulation and numerical diagnostics;

(5) Combustion chemistry and chemical kinetics reduction;
