Teachers from the Nuclear Energy Department of our school participated in the 2019 Working Meeting of the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Ministry

On November 15-17, 2019, professor Pan Liangming, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, associate professor Wang Feng, director of the Nuclear Energy Department, and other nuclear energy teachers went to Yibin, Sichuan province, to participate in the working meeting of the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, which was organized by the University of Light Chemical Technology, co-organized by Tsinghua University and Beijing Normal University.

At the meeting, professor Kang Kejun, director of the Nuclear Professional Engineering Education Certification Committee, summarized the work of professional certification of this year, explained possible misunderstandings in engineering education certification, and affirmed the role of engineering education certification in promoting undergraduate professional construction. Secretary Pan Liangming made a report entitled "Chongqing University Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Technology Professional Construction Exchange", which introduced the construction characteristics of this major, showed the undergraduate teaching experiment platform built by the professional repair and purchase plan, and specially reported the application for engineering sustainable improvement work that have done by education professional certification. In addition, the teachers participating in the meeting discussed the ideological and political construction of the course, expressing that they must fully tap the rich ideological and political resources of nuclear engineering, insist on the unity of knowledge transfer and value guidance, and realize all-round education.

Through this meeting, the teachers of the Nuclear Energy Department of our school have a deep understanding of the reform of undergraduate education and teaching. In late October this year, the nuclear engineering and nuclear technology major of our institute has submitted an application for the certification of engineering education. This conference exchange has a good guiding role in the follow-up work of the certification of engineering education.
